I grew up on the Avengers. The Emma Peel episodes are my fav. And I just recently watched all of the Tara King episodes for the first time. At first, I liked her, then I didn't, but by the end I had a warm spot for her. The King episodes are spotty at best. Some are great, some are boring or just plain terrible. I haven't yet seen the Cathy Gale episodes, but I recall watching one when I was 5 or 6 (in 1970 or 71) and liking it. I was a fan of the New Avengers when it originally aired on TV, and just recently watched all of those on DVD except the last three or four. It had a promising start, and I love the theme song (and Joanna Lumley), but the last season of the show was just AWFUL!
